CHLA Books Donation

Children’s Hospital Los Angeles is a renowned pediatric medical center that provides comprehensive medical care to children of all ages, from infants to adolescents. Their services include emergency and trauma care, cancer treatment, heart and lung care, neurology, and more. The Return Love Organization is honored to donate children’s books to CHLA, providing children in need with access to high-quality reading materials to accompany them through challenging times. It is recognized that hospital stays can be difficult for children, and the hope is that this donation will bring them comfort and joy. Reading has the potential to inspire children to explore new worlds, acquire new knowledge, and find solace during difficult times. We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to support the children and families served by CHLA through this donation, and the organization remains committed to its mission of assisting those in need.

Post-Break Gathering

COVID-19 cases are increasing across the country again after travel and indoor gatherings for Thanksgiving and Christmas, and our scientists are trying their best to understand how the new Omicron variant could affect the increase in cases going into the spring. According to data, hospitalizations are beginning to increase, moving up about 20% since the end of November. With hospitals facing extreme supply shortages and constraints, Return Love Organization has gathered 500 masks through the money from our members’ part-time jobs and successfully donated them to the USC Verdugo Hills Hospital along with inspirational drawings, healthy snacks, and flowers. Through these donations, we are hoping to help the hospital accelerate its response to the crisis by securing vital resources for patient care, health care provider protection and wellness, and research to combat COVID-19.

Assistance League Reopens Support

As new clothing comes into our lives, we also discard it at a shocking pace. The average American now generates 82 pounds of textile waste each year. That adds up to more than 11 million tons of textile waste from the U.S. alone. Recycling used clothing and products not only means that you are reducing the discards from landfills, which is great for the environment, it also passes them to someone who values its future use. To help the environment by reducing textile waste, Return Love Organization initiated the “Clothing and Household Goods Donations” with the Assistance League. Throughout the months of June and July, our team has collected bags of second-hand clothes and household goods from all the passionate and kind-hearted community members with a huge variety including t-shirts, jackets, sweaters, pants, accessories, books, shoes, and toys. We then categorized them into different boxes and donated them to the Bargain Box Thrift Shop of Assistance League, which is a store that provides a continuing source of income for the chapter’s philanthropic programs. Here, we would like to say thank you for all the generous donations we received from the community. We are thrilled to have your support. Through your donation, we have been able to help the Bargain Box Thrift Shop and continue working towards the goal of spreading positivity among our community. You truly make a difference for us, and we are extremely grateful!

Kickstarting the New Year

To kickstart the new year, our Return Love Organization donated over 1,100 masks to the staff and patients of Verdugo Hills Hospital to help out in this much needed time. We are also happy to announce that the RLO cups that we’ve been working on for several months is finally finished! Along with the masks, we were able to donate multiple of these cups for free to the staff. With coronavirus cases over the top and cases emerging at unparalleled rates, we believe it is our duty to help the community out in any way we can. In addition, we received a small endorsement from It’s Boba Time to donate supplementary, custom masks to the hardworking doctors that are in the frontlines, fighting to protect the lives of those in need. We know that the masks will be put to good use and look forward to seeing patients and staff being protected!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving is a time for gratitude. It is more than the festivities, it gives us the time to look back at all the great memories and good people who came into our lives. We appreciate you so much! Happy Thanksgiving Day to you and your loved ones! This year has been tough with the pandemic, but having those great opportunities to work with our members to help the community together has always been enjoyable and inspiring. We also want to express to our supporters our sincere appreciation for your loyalty and guidance, we would not be in this position without all your support; we are deeply thankful and extend to you our best wishes!

We’re All in This Together

Thanks to the support of the CN Department of the Return Love Organization and American Chinese National Chamber of Commerce, we were able to receive and deliver several thousand masks to different neighborhoods across La Cañada. In order to deliver the masks, we decided to divide the masks into 200 packages with 10 masks in each and deliver them to 200 different residences. Despite all the difficulties, we still managed to deliver all the masks to the neighborhood. Furthermore, we would like you to know that it’s because of all the support and love we received that enabled us to spend time and exert efforts into helping the community fight through this tough time. We hope you stay strong and we will get through this together.

Together, We Can Beat COVID-19

In this month, the Return Love Organization is collaborating with the CN department of the Return Love Organization and American Chinese National Chamber of Commerce to form a project on helping USC Verdugo Hills Hospital. The transaction took place on July 11 as our crew, representing both of the teams in China, entered the main entrance of the hospital and successfully donated the 1000 masks to their medical staff. As the PPEs are in short supply and high demand due to the unprecedented needs of the COVID-19 pandemic, we really hope this project can make an impact on helping the medical staff to release some of their stress and lifting the spirits of the patients and our residents.

Thank You for Answering the Call

The leaders of USC Verdugo Hills Hospital have invited us to join an online meeting called “Thank You for Answering the Call” as Return Love Organization. Here, we would like to express our sincere appreciation to all the hospital staff for trusting and supporting our team for what we have been doing so far. We truly cherish this hard-won opportunity of able to work with those courageous and skilled caregivers who fight day in and day out, to treat, comfort, and heal us when we need it most, their work during the pandemic is absolutely inspirational and it motivates us to keep helping the community and spreading positivity.

LCHS Donation

Our team went to La Cañada High School and met Mr. Cartnal, the Principal of La Cañada High. With families now at the center of their child’s learning at home, the respect for what teachers do every day is at an all-time high. They flipped learning overnight with no playbook to go off of, and they are feeling just as much stress as everyone else.  All of our high school staff have been cooperating and doing their best for all the students while dealing with the impact of coronavirus. Teachers deserve our appreciation now more than ever before. So we donated in a total of 200 masks to the school for all the staff for future use.
